The other day, an old friend of mine from Osaka was in Tokyo and we were able to meet in good timing.
Do you have somewhere you want to go?” I asked,
Penny Lane! (Baker).”
What? Penny Lane is in Nasu, right? I was thinking, “Nasu is too far away…” and then…
What a surprise, a new store is opening in Tokyo Solamachi!
Penny Lane is a Beatles-inspired bakery with its main store in Nasu.
I love the Beatles, so Penny Lane is one of the places I’ve always wanted to visit someday.
Woo hoo~! This is so much fun!
And then we went! Penny Lane Tokyo Solamachi Store.
Hiya! The Beatles all over!
We went into the restaurant with maxed out tension.
Since it was a holiday, the restaurant was crowded with customers.
Bread sold in the store can also be eaten in.
After 5:00 p.m., they can enjoy drinks and food menu as public.
The store is crammed with freshly baked bread, all of which look delicious!
At first, I ordered the most popular item, “Blueberry Bread (half)” for ¥420,
The number two most popular “Ringo Star” ¥500
My daughter, who loves croissants, had the croissant (¥260).
They are all insanely delicious, but the “Ringo Star” is especially excellent!
The crispy pie crust is filled with small pieces of apple, and the custard cream is delicious!
I shared it with a friend and she raved, “This is the best apple pie I’ve ever had!” He raved about it.
I had the “Beetle” ¥220 in the restaurant.
This is already delicious the moment you put it in your mouth, even though you haven’t chewed it yet! The flavors of butter and almonds spread out. The texture was like a hard financier.
The bags they put the bread in, the coffee cups, and the coasters are all great.
The restaurant was precious from start to finish, with the Beatles’ music playing in the background casually enough not to interrupt the conversation.
Thanks, old friend!
Thanks, Penny Lane!
Thanks, Beatles!
I would love to have lunch at the main Nasu restaurant someday!
Umi.
