Numazu Fish Market is a market that combines the functions of both a production market (where fish are landed) and a consumption market, located in Numazu Port.
It is a rare facility in Japan that not only functions as a market for auction, but also has tourist facilities such as a visitor pathway, a cafeteria, and an observation deck!

Up on the second floor of the INO fish market…
A long, long passage!
Since it was past noon when we arrived, the auction was closed and it was very quiet, but if you go during the auction time, you can see the auction like this.

And when you go down this long, long passageway…
Numazu Fish Market Shokudo” is located here.
The menu is decided each morning based on the day’s purchases, and the menu changes daily.
They are also very particular about seasonings, using natural salt from Numazu Ida for salt and additive-free soy sauce from Numazu.
There are so many items on the menu, I was lost!
Ichiba Kaisendon,” a bowl of rice topped with six freshly caught sashimi from the auction.
Each slice is thick and large! Freshly caught! Fresh, fatty and delicious!
And here is the “Tuna Kama-yaki Set Meal,” an extra-large kama-yaki weighing around 300 grams. It comes with a delightful kama-age shirasu.
It is very powerful. The meat is plump. The meat is plump and perfectly cooked.
We proceeded to eat the fish, digging (and sometimes dismantling) it and eating all of the meat around the bones!
The white rice was also delicious!
The counter seats by the window in the restaurant offer the best location with a panoramic view of Suruga Bay!
The staff was very friendly and courteous.
Thanks for the food~♪
