Katanukiya’s “Panda Baum”.

Katanukiya “Boots Panda Baum (maple flavor)

Did you know there is such a baumkuchen!

The baumkuchen is “eaten while being unmolded,” as the name “Katanukiya” implies.

There are three permanent stores: the main Ginza store, the Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi store, and the Ecute Edition Shibuya store.

They also have stalls in various other places.

It was found at the Grand Kiosk Shin-Yokohama in front of the Shinkansen East Exit ticket gates of Shin-Yokohama Station.

When I looked at the sample, I thought the price of 540 yen per piece was a bit expensive since it was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, but I really wanted to make a mold, so I bought it.

250 kcal per serving.

The expiration date is about 50 days, since the ones in the store today, December 13, were available until February 2 next year.

Come to think of it, I may have never done a katanuki…?

I wonder if it will come out clean…?

Beautiful rectangular shape. High in height.

Now, how do you do the die cutting?

I only have one, and I don’t want to miss it!

I went to Katanukiya’s website and found an explanation.

There are two recommended methods.

I tried the “push out” method!

Whew – I’m so nervous, so nervous.

Breathe, and voila!

Oh!

Nice! Looking good! Don’t rush me!

Boot panda baum, after molding

Wow! We did it!

It went out beautifully!

This is a great sense of accomplishment!

Maybe it was easier to pull out the baum because there was a cut in one part of the baum in advance.

It was so cute that I thought it was a waste to eat it, but I enjoyed it.

The baumkuchen dough was moist and the maple flavor was soft and gentle.

This is sure to be a lot of fun with your children and friends! It would make a great souvenir.

Thank you for the food… ♪
