Today I made my “Uber Eats” debut!
I had never used delivery services such as Uber and Delivery Kan before.
Today, I decided to try “my first Uber Eats” for lunch because it was cold and I didn’t want to leave the house, and there was a flyer in the mailbox offering a discount coupon for the first time for Uber.
The restaurant we chose was…
Uo-don Chigasaki Branch.
This is a restaurant specializing in kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) operated by Belltree Company, Inc. with headquarters in Kitasenju, Tokyo.
The main store is located in Kitasenju, and new stores are opening one after another in the Kanto region and other parts of Japan under the goodwill sharing system.
It operates mainly in the takeout/Uber Eats format, and features an unbelievably large number of menu items anyway!
Including “original rice bowls” that you can customize and order yourself, the total menu consists of more than 1.7 million items!

On October 22, 2022㈯, the Chigasaki branch opened about a 5-minute walk from the north exit of JR Chigasaki Station.
Hours of operation are 11:00 am – 2:30 pm / 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
They operate three types of business: take-out, Uber Eats, and self-eat-in, and the eat-in has a counter with five seats.
Come on, let’s order!
There are too many items on the menu – it’s hard to decide.
I finally decided on these two.
The sasanqua bowl is 835 yen (tax included) and the gorgeous bowl is 1850 yen (tax included), but if you order these with Uber Eats…
835 yen (including tax) → 1285 yen (including tax)
1850 yen (tax included) → 2780 yen (tax included)
It will be!
What, what, a gorgeous bowl of rice is almost 1,000 yen more expensive than a bowl of rice? How expensive is it to order from Uber Eats? I guess it depends on the restaurant, but I guess it’s expensive here.
I’m glad I had a discount coupon this time, I would have walked to get take-out even if it was cold….
Nevertheless, thank you to the delivery guy for delivering it on time in the cold!
Here is what we received.
Compared to the menu photo, I felt the volume of the neta was not enough, but all the items were delicious.
The negitoro and edamame were especially delicious!
The sushi rice was also exquisite, both in terms of the hardness of the rice and the amount of vinegar.
The menu said that if you order a small portion of rice, you would receive a bowl of soup with your meal… I’m not sure if this is the case with Uber Eats or if they forgot to include it, but it was a bit disappointing.
My first Uber Eats, a social learning experience.
Next time I will go for take out!
