Today’s pudding.
Lawson’s “Pudding-like Fresh Custard Cake.
After its release was postponed in August of this year, the “Like Pudding Fresh Custard Cake” was re-released on December 20, 2022, for the first time in four months!
This cake looks like a pudding, but LAWSON’s website says, “A new type of egg sweets using “Premium Egg”. The custard mousse is filled with melt-in-your-mouth custard cream! It is like a pudding.
Is it a cake!
It stands firmly on its own. Sturdy appearance.
I cut it in half.
The custard mousse on top was so heavy that the sponge underneath could not support it, and it looked as if it was about to fall over.
The caramel sauce on top is jelly-like.
The custard mousse is filled with custard cream, which I think can be called a “pudding”!
The bottom layer is a thin sponge dough. The sponge is light and fluffy.
The custard mousse is sticky and thick.
The custard cream that overflows from it is soft. It is just like the custard cream in cream puffs.
This is still…in my opinion, a pudding!
However, it was a “new sensation” that was different from either thick pudding or hardened pudding!
