Today’s snack.

I bought this “Tako Patiye” from Hyogetsudo as a souvenir from Osaka.

It was purchased at the souvenir shop “Omiyage Kaido Alde Shin-Osaka” at the Shinkansen Shin-Osaka Station.

This very popular product was the No. 1 Osaka souvenir at Shin-Osaka Eki Marche in March 2019.

While I was looking at the products in front of this “Takopatier” section, the person in charge (probably a great person from Hyogetsudo) was just in front of me.

The person explained to us about “octopus patties,” and his enthusiasm and confidence convinced us that they were definitely delicious!

My daughter, who was listening to the explanation with me, said, “I’m going to give these to my friends at school! I’m going to give them to my friends at school! I also bought a pack of 6 for home use.

The person in charge of the shopping cart went out of her way to bring us a shopping cart from the entrance in the midst of the crowded store. I didn’t get her name, but she was a very nice person.

Thank you very much!

When you open the bag, you can smell the takoyaki aroma~!

The crispy pie is topped with Japanese octopus flour, walnuts, dried bonito flakes, sauce, mayonnaise, coarse sea salt, and green laver.

I’ve had takoyaki-flavored rice crackers before, but never a pie! I wonder what it tastes like!

Wow! It really is a pie!

At first it tastes like takoyaki, then it gets sweeter and sweeter.

The caramel taste is very strong. And yet, it goes so well with the sauce! Why~!

It looks like a candy, but it is a real “sweet”. This is amazing!

That is as it should be. This “octopus patty” was supervised by Shinichi Makino of “Monsieur Makino” in Toyonaka City, Osaka.

Mr. Makino is a pastry chef who went to Germany in the 1970s for further training, worked for a major confectionery company in Japan from the 1980s to the 1990s, and represented Japan in the “World Confectionary Competition” in 1992, winning the title.

It is hard to find such interesting and tasty sweets. Osaka indeed!
