Today’s pudding.
This is “Sake Lees Pudding” from “Wasedoshoku Takitaro,” a tavern in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture.
I went to Yamagata Prefecture for various reasons! I happened to enter a restaurant called “Japanese Set Meal Takitaro” to have dinner near Tsuruoka Station.
Whenever I eat out, I always check the dessert menu to see if there is pudding.
There it is! And at the top of the list!
Since there is not much information available in advance about puddings from stores that are not part of a chain, we are looking forward to seeing what kind of puddings will be served.
There were two kinds of puddings: “Sake Pudding” and “Sake Kasu Pudding,” but I chose the “Sake Kasu Pudding.
I don’t really like sake lees…but I had sake lees soup at school lunch in elementary school and it wasn’t good. At that time, we were told not to leave school lunch, so I finished it with tears in my eyes! I finished it with tears in my eyes.
I have such bitter memories of sakekasu, but now that I am an adult, I think I can enjoy the taste of pudding!
The pudding came in a beautiful bowl.
On top is apple paste. The apple paste is more smooth and refreshingly sweet than jam.
The pudding has a firm consistency and a very smooth texture.
Sakekasu is completely melted into the pudding, making it easy to eat! You can feel the aroma of elegant sakekasu.
The taste of the egg plus the flavor of the sake gives it a deep flavor.
There was no sakekasu sensation, which is not my favorite!
The fresh and natural sweetness of the apple paste envelops the pudding and overflows with tenderness.
It was a luxurious pudding that could only be found here.
