Today’s pudding.
The third high-end pudding I encountered at Haneda Airport!
Harajuku Honey Pudding” by Colomban.
The price is 1029 yen (tax included)!
A thousand-yen pudding! No way!
Mr. Colombin founded Japan’s first authentic French pastry store, Colombin Shoten, in Omori, Tokyo in 1924.
In addition, shortcakes were invented and sold(!!!).
Furthermore, delivery to the Imperial Household Ministry (now the Imperial Household Agency) begins (!!!).
I didn’t know that shortcake was Columban’s first! I didn’t know that!
Colomban also has a royal custard pudding. (Sold only at the Ikebukuro Tobu and Atre Matsudo stores.)
This “pudding” is ¥238 (tax included).
Eh, on the contrary, isn’t this pudding cheap for a western pastry store? I’d like to try this one too.
Now, a $1,000 pudding! I was thrilled to buy it!
Harajuku Honey Pudding can be purchased at the official online store, Tokyo Station Gransta Store, Haneda Airport SMILETOKYO Store, and Ikebukuro Tobu Store.
It comes in a magnificent decorative box. It is a honey pudding, so it is in the hexagonal shape of a beehive.
Now it’s time to open the doors!
The pudding and honey are separate,
Instructions were also included.
The honey in this pudding is special…
Since 2010, Mr. Colomban has been engaged in beekeeping business on the roof of his building in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
This Harajuku honey pudding is made with our own honey from there!
This custard pudding was developed to taste that “Harajuku honey.
The pudding is carefully baked with a special blend of fresh eggs from heirloom chickens, rich Jersey milk with high milk fat content, and safe organic sugar.
It is firm and has a strong egg and milk flavor. The sweetness is moderate.
The only ingredients are milk, whole eggs, sugar, egg yolks, and honey.
Simply delicious!
To be honest, I thought 1,000 yen was too much for just the pudding, but here is the main thing!
Harajuku honey” is poured over it.
This honey is so delicious!
A real taste!
When you put it in your mouth, the fragrance of flowers spreads.
It tastes superb with pudding.
The pudding is not too sweet, so you can fully enjoy the sweetness of honey.
A pudding for tasting honey, indeed!
And the pudding here does not end with deliciousness.
The container containing the pudding is a canister made by WECK, a German glass manufacturer founded in 1990.
I am sure that many of you are patronizing it.
Made from nature-friendly recycled glass, the glass canisters can be used over and over again due to their high safety and durability.
Rubber gaskets and clips allow you to seal tightly and preserve food for a long time.
Take a peek at the official WECK website…
The canister used for the pudding was inscribed with “140”, so that must mean it is 140 ml size. I think it is a larger size than the one in the picture.
The glass container alone costs over 400 yen!
Furthermore…
I see that rubber gaskets and stainless steel clips are sold separately!
The pudding container comes with this rubber packing and stainless steel clips for the price of 1,000 yen.
What? Isn’t it a bargain on the contrary?
If you are thinking of buying a canister of this size from WECK, wouldn’t it be a better deal to buy a “Harajuku Honey Pudding” that also has delicious pudding?
(*The canister has the “Harajuku Honey” logo on it, so be careful there!)
Oh, no! I was a little apprehensive about purchasing the “Harajuku Honey Pudding” for over 1,000 yen, but it was well worth the 1,000 yen!

This is a three-part feature on “high-end puddings.
I was convinced by the taste and quality of all the puddings I actually bought and tried! I was convinced of the taste and quality of all the puddings.
Of course you can buy one for yourself, but I think it would make a perfect souvenir or gift! They will surely be appreciated! (I don’t think I can buy it for myself anymore, so I will wait for the day I can get it as a souvenir. LOL)
If you have trouble choosing a souvenir at Haneda Airport, this pudding is for you!
*Note that none of them last long & need to be refrigerated.
Thank you for the food… ♪
