Today’s pudding.
This is “drinking pudding” by Kojyori Jo (小料理丞).
I met this pudding at the ” Pudding Party” held at the Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro from April 6㈭ to 11㈫, 2023.
This is a pudding from “Kojyori Jo (Ske),” a restaurant in Akasaka, Tokyo, that specializes in low-temperature cooking.
‘Drinking pudding’…how fascinating it sounds.
This pudding is pink. It is a slightly orangey pink, like a salmon pink.
I had imagined it would be soft from the name “drinking pudding,” but it exceeded my imagination!
Oh, oh, it’s delicious~! This pudding is rich yet gently sweet, meltingly smooth.
The only ingredients are egg yolks, milk, cream, cane sugar, and liqueur.
I checked and it seems that the liqueur is made from “Amarula liqueur” which is based on the fruit of a tree called Marula which is found in South Africa! (Mr. Cheng, am I right?)
*The alcohol is said to be lost during the heating process.
Is this salmon pink color a mixture of egg yolk and liqueur?
Can you feel it? This melting sensation!
The temperature and cooking time are thoroughly considered in order to achieve a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
I have had many melt-in-your-mouth smooth puddings in the past, but this one is outstandingly melt-in-your-mouth!
We had it exactly as if we were drinking it.

So many puddings I met at the pudding party. All the puddings were really delicious! There was just so much love leaking from the puddings!
Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was very nice, with everyone in the restaurant smiling and full of energy!
