Today’s pudding.
This is Le Xieux’s “Nishikama Pudding”.
Les Shoe is a cake and confectionery shop headquartered in Nishi-Kamakura, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
There is also a store on the first floor of Terrace Mall Shonan at Tsujido Station.
This “Nishikama pudding” has been a long-selling pudding since Les Xieux’s founding, and it seems to be a best-selling pudding!
It is said that “smooth pudding” has spread to the world, and it seems that the smoothness is produced by a special manufacturing method that can never be imitated by other shops.
What does “Nishikama” mean? I was wondering, but when I looked it up, I found that Nishi-Kamakura is called “Nishikama” locally.
I see! That’s why “Nishikama pudding”!
This pudding is quite soft and thick.
I received it about 3 hours after I bought it, but when I took it out of the box, the pudding was shaking. Be careful not to carry or vibrate for a long time.
The caramel sauce below is coming up.
On top of the pudding is squeezed whipped cream.
It’s already thick. The cream and caramel sauce are melting, but the pudding is ready to be scooped up with a spoon.
It’s so creamy that I don’t think there’s anything smoother than this!
It will melt in your mouth.
It has a creamy taste and the richness of the egg.
Grains of vanilla beans are also visible.
The bottom is filled with caramel sauce. It is already integrated with pudding.
This pudding tasted like Western sake, but I wonder if it tastes like caramel sauce? If that’s the case, then I think the caramel sauce is thick and bitter.
There was no indication of the ingredients on the pudding cup, so I decided to contact Les Choux.
The next day, I received a polite reply!
The raw materials are “foods made mainly from milk, eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla beans, vanilla flavorings.”
In addition, it was said that Western liquor is not used.
Thank you for your time, Les Xieux!!
I guess what made me feel like a Western liquor was the caramel sauce and vanilla flavoring.
It is deep and enchantingly delicious.
I can understand why it is No.1 in popularity!
It was a very delicate pudding, so let’s eat it immediately after purchase.
Les Choux also has another pudding called “Les Chouxue’s Maple Pudding”.
This is also a popular pudding, and I want to try this next time!
