7-minute walk from the south exit of Chigasaki Station.
Sometimes, I want to eat at a set meal restaurant like this.
Today’s menu is written on a signboard at the foot of the curtain.
Vegetable stir-fry 750 yen
Ginger-yaki set meal 850 yen
Pork rib set meal 900 yen
Fried horse mackerel set meal: 850 yen
Grilled mackerel set meal 900 yen
(All with 3 small bowls)
When I entered the restaurant, I found a good-natured owner (who looked to be well over 70 years old) running the place!
I thought that I would like to try grilled mackerel, too.
It was a bit cold, so I ordered the gingerbread set meal!
It came with a small bowl of yam, cold tofu, and turnip kimchi
The gingerbread is thickly sliced and feels like you can enjoy its chewy texture.
It tasted rustic, grilled with freshly grated ginger and sauce, but it definitely made the rice go further!
A set meal restaurant with good rice (white rice) makes me want to come back again!
