Here are some of the delicious food I ate around Himeji Station when I visited the area on various business matters.
Tonichi Pork Restaurant Himeji Ekimae Branch
The restaurant is spacious, well kept clean, and has a nice atmosphere with no fried food smell.
A 780 yen loin cutlet set meal at this time of year when everything is going up in price! As I looked at the menu, thinking I would try it first… I found a topping called “egg drop in miso soup”. I love this!
I was surprised to see cabbage and sesame seeds right after ordering….
The dish is prepared by grinding sesame seeds, mixing them with a sweet miso sauce, and pouring it over the cabbage!
Great idea for a tasty and healthy way to eat pork cutlets!
Bread crumbs made from special breading make the batter crispy! Makes pork cutlets even more delicious.
It was the best loin cutlet set meal!
Okonomiyaki Kyabetsu
A kindly-looking grandmother serves teppanyaki dishes skillfully in front of a teppan grill in this lively restaurant!
They were all delicious, but the beef tenderloin was No. 1~!
We enjoyed the food hot on the griddle!
Grazie Himeji Ekimae
Grazie, an Italian restaurant where a chef with a haircut reminiscent of Ramos serves up his skills.
It was an aromatic Italian beer.
Peperoncino with good olive oil and just the right amount of garlic. It was simple, but delicious, making the most of the flavor of the sakura shrimps!

One-man Yakiniku Restaurant “Niku Bako” Ekimae-cho, Himeji City
A concept restaurant where one can enjoy yakiniku alone.
Moderately compact seating makes for a casual drop-in atmosphere.
After ordering from the touch panel, the meats arrive immediately.
All you have to do is grill the meat you want to eat and enjoy it!
It was a restaurant where one could easily enjoy yakiniku by oneself at any time.

Vietnamese Cuisine “Banh Mi Sin Chao”
It had just opened and the staff in brand new uniforms were working hard!
I ordered beef pho. The amount of pak choi was small to suit the Japanese. I expected it to be filled with a lot of vegetables like in the real place, but I think it was a little insufficient. However, the soup seemed to be made by a real person and was very tasty. We enjoyed it hot with a good huffing and puffing!
Taiyaki Honpo Yousido Higashi Ekimae Branch
In one corner of the arcade, we found a huge taiyaki shop!
They specialize in taiyaki, which obviously look delicious. I took one home without hesitation. One taiyaki is 150 yen (tsubu-an only)
It looks delicious to look at, and the outside is baked to a crisp.
The crust is thin and crunchy, and the filling is filled with a dense layer of tsubuan (sweet bean paste). The texture of the skin and the taste of the bean paste made me say to myself, “Yum! I couldn’t help saying to myself.
Okame-bento, an ekiben eaten on the shinkansen on the way home
The photos should be enough for you to understand. It was a bento box lunch that really offered a variety of tastes. Please try it when you buy an ekiben in Himeji.
I ate well~!
Thank you for the food… ♪
