I hope to eat a lot of pudding this year!
Well, today’s pudding at the beginning of 2023 is…
It is not a convenience store pudding, a supermarket pudding, a pastry store pudding, or a pudding specialty store pudding.
This is the “special pudding” of the conveyor-belt sushi restaurant Uobei (魚べい)!
Uobei is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant chain operated by Genki Sushi Co.
All seats have touch screens, and there is the industry’s first “triple lane” with two high-speed lanes running above the regular rotating lanes.
This was my first visit and the sushi was absolutely delicious!
The fish was so thick and fresh that I was surprised that it was really only 110 yen! The meat was thick and fresh, and the rice was delicious!
And we found “special pudding” on the dessert menu!
They are handmade one by one in the store!
I had to try it, so I ordered it.
I had a selfish image of pudding at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant (I know it’s rude, but…) I thought it might be cheap…
That was not the case at all!
I was rather surprised that it was so authentic!
The pudding arrived in a jar!
Is it hard? Is it thick? I am curious.
The top is moderately firm and smooth.
As you continue to eat, it becomes mellow.
At the bottom is a silky caramel sauce. The caramel is light, not too much, and does not interfere with the pudding.
It has a strong egg/milk taste.
This is a real pudding!
It is so delicious that it could be sold in a pastry store or pudding specialty store.
Well, I was surprised.
